It's been a few weeks sense I blogged but we haven't had a lot of new things going on. Some of this blog will repeat what I said in the e-mail but I am going to provide some more detail.
Earlier this week I sent out an e-mail asking for units to send me their training updates and I was not surprised by the responses I got. Sense, I came to this District this has been one of the biggest complaints. About a year ago the training committee tried to create a database of trainings and for a variety of reasons they weren't successful.
What I sent out earlier this week was the spreadsheet they created. I do believe Council is more up to date than that list but I can't run a report like that for units. So Instead I sent you what they were working on. I understand there's a lot missing. And truthfully, I'm done trying to figure out why. My commitment is anything sent to me before the end of May I will get updated down in Bethesda.
I did ask that you update the spreadsheet to help save me some time but I will take datadumps, other files, PDF, etc. At this point the rule is, whatever it takes.
I hope this helps and I look forward to hearing back from you to get this problem fixed and put behind us.

The Cheif Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts of America
This past year Bob Mazzuca became the new Chief Scout Executive for Boy Scouts of America. He is the top professional in the nation. One of his missions was to reintroduce the Boy Scouts to the American people. He's doing this in many ways including interviews in major national media.
One of his first interviews was with USA Today.
Most recently he spoke with NBC Nightly News while here in DC.
You can see that by visiting our council website and clicking the link on the right.
